About Scott Edinburgh, Founder of Personal MBA Coach
Scott is a Wharton MBA graduate with a BS from MIT and has served as an expert MBA consultant for over 16 years. During his tenure, he has helped candidates worldwide achieve their dreams of attending reputable MBA programs. Scott sits on the Board of Directors for the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants and is a frequent keynote speaker at top MBA events worldwide.
Before formalizing his role as a full-time professional consultant, Scott worked in traditional strategic roles, and his career has spanned various sectors and industries. He served as Director of Global Strategy/Corporate Development at a top independent publishing company with a 700-plus workforce. He also has experience in management consulting, travel and hospitality, financial services, consumer products and health care that he gained in his roles at Deloitte Consulting, InterContinental Hotels Group and JP Morgan.
Scott describes his MBA journey as transformational and a critical career pivot. At Wharton, he learned to think more strategically. The program honed his skills, making him a keen negotiator, decision-maker and more empowered leader and individual. Post-MBA, he continued in a strategic consultancy role but with an ignited spark for helping others transform their lives through MBA programs. This spark initiated Scott to start helping his friends with their MBA applications in his spare time, leading to the foundation of Personal MBA Coach.
Scott’s qualifications and hands-on experience in the corporate world continue to help hundreds of candidates get into top schools and advance their careers in the U.S. and beyond. He sees full-time admissions consultancy as more than a job. For Scott, it is a passion to help individuals position themselves to attain greatness.
Scott works with a handful of seasoned and connected executives to help candidates throughout the MBA process. With his team of former admissions directors, he has helped clients earn $10 million in scholarships in the last cycle and is as committed as ever to transforming lives, one application at a time.
Scott leverages strategy and his knowledge of the admissions process to help candidates formulate plans, target the best schools, emphasize an MBA focus on their work resumes, prepare for interviews and receive support and tutoring from pre-application to completion.
