Scott, Avi, and the whole Personal MBA Coach team were instrumental in the Business School Application process – undoubtedly helping me earn admission to my dream school. They helped me gain insight into my background and experiences and translate them into business skillsets. Scott and his team did a remarkable job. Firstly, for which I am most grateful, Scott pushed me hard to stop being lazy, buckle down, and focus on getting admitted to the best school on my list, which was Chicago Booth. Secondly, I used Personal MBA’s tutoring service, which helped me exceed my expectations, scoring 730. Finally, the team helped me craft strong application letters and short answers. Getting into Chicago Booth was more than I would have dared to target at the beginning of my journey, but it was made possible with some great help. 

I had a great experience working with Scott and the Personal MBA Coach Team! Scott was incredibly thorough in helping me with every aspect of the MBA application process. I came to him a little bit later and was still struggling with the standardized test part of my application. He found me a new tutor and within about 5 weeks, my GMAT score had jumped 100 points and we finished my top two applications in time for round one. Scott was professional and realistic in helping me curate a list of schools. The application process working with him is incredibly structured and seamless. He also made himself readily available to answer any question that I had. I would highly recommend working with him and his team!

Nick is my tutor and I think a strong case can be made that he is a genius. I’ve worked with 5 other tutors before, all very nice folks and super bright. Nick has the ability to take totally foreign math concepts and present them in very clear ways. He could teach calculus to a golden retriever. The thing that sets him apart in my opinion however is his approach to strategy; understanding how the test is scored, communicating a study plan, things no one else was able to help me with. If anyone I know needs a GMAT tutor I am going to insist that they use Nick. Can’t say enough positive things.

Reaching out to Personal MBA Coach to help me through my MBA application process was the best decision. I didn’t have any understanding of which programs were the best fit for me, where to start, and what strategy would help me achieve my goals. I first met Scott at his PMC booth in an MBA tour. Coming from a non-traditional background, I had very limited knowledge in business/interaction with the MBA community. Scott walked me through my resume patiently and professionally; I then decided to work with PMC. Scott may initially suggest you apply for some top programs and some other programs to secure your seat in MBA. My advice to new applicants is: Don’t be discouraged to apply for your dream schools!

Because I was struggling to achieve a high GMAT score, he also offered a great GMAT coach with weeks of intensive lessons which helped me pass the threshold. I then started to focus on essay editing. PMC team is very professional that they know how to proofread your essay to make it presentable to the MBA admission officers; however, you have to prepare your own stories. They don’t feed you the fish but give you the pole to teach you how to fish.

In fact, I got one rejection and one waitlist last year (submitted in Round 3/4) and Scott instructed me to write a follow-up email, though I did not obtain a seat in the end (but perhaps left a good impression on the school). I am successfully admitted to two schools on my second try (applied by myself in Round 1 this time)! Looking back, I would not have gone this far without PMC team. I am truly glad I met Scott in the beginning of my MBA journey.

Personal MBA Coach has an amazing EA teacher who helped me acquire the skills necessary to tackle the EA exam. Without working with the team, I would have never been admitted to the Wharton EMBA program – the only EMBA program that I applied to in 2020.
