NYU Stern Part-Time MBA Program Overview

NYU Stern offers a unique MBA part-time program: the Langone Part-Time MBA program. Located in the center of NYC, the NYU Stern part-time MBA program is a great fit for NYC-based young professionals who want to advance their careers by taking advantage of Stern’s flexible curriculum, hands-on learning and international opportunities.

The NYU part-time MBA program course load is split evenly between the core curriculum and electives. Student can choose from over 200 elective courses, and classes take place throughout the fall, spring and summer as well as during intensive periods in January and late summer. Depending on their interests, students can select up to three specializations from the 27 available. Please note that the Finance and Management specializations are offered only on Saturdays.

As part of their orientation, in their first semester all students must attend the mandatory Langone LAB, a one-day, high-impact introduction event on campus. For the spring 2023 semester, the event will be held on February 4, 2023, in person in NYC, and students are responsible for their own accommodations and transportation.

What Sets the NYU Stern Part-Time MBA Program Apart:

Unique scheduling flexibility: On top of the regular weeknight and Saturday scheduling options, Stern offers an online-modular option that combines online and in-person learning. For this program option, students will first complete the core curriculum courses online. Then they may choose among one-week intensive in-person modules in NYC, regular in-person courses, and a range of online elective courses. Please note that to graduate, students must complete at least nine courses in person.

Experiential learning: Known as Stern Solutions, this unique opportunity allows students to apply their classroom learnings while working on real-world business problems. There are over 30 Stern Solutions courses, almost all taught in person.

International Study: One- and two-week intensive courses offered in January and May are known as DBi (Doing Business in…). DBi courses allow students to gain experience working anywhere in the world. The list of previous destinations includes Australia, Hungary, South Africa and Costa Rica. Furthermore, the program offers global courses Operations in Panama and The Craft & Commerce of Cinema that takes place in France.
