Scott has a ridiculous amount of knowledge about the MBA world, and for every school I applied to, I felt like I had an edge because of the specific insights I was given about that particular school and what they’re looking for – information I could have never gotten otherwise. The support is truly comprehensive (including rec letter edits, mock interviews, infinite essay edits until they’re perfect, etc), and makes a stressful, complex admissions process far easier to deal with. Nick is my tutor and I think a strong case can be made that he is a genius. I’ve worked with 5 other tutors before, all very nice folks and super bright. Nick has the ability to take totally foreign math concepts and present them in very clear ways. He could teach calculus to a golden retriever. The thing that sets him apart in my opinion however is his approach to strategy; understanding how the test is scored, communicating a study plan, things no one else was able to help me with. If anyone I know needs a GMAT tutor I am going to insist that they use Nick. Can’t say enough positive things.

Scott and his team did a fantastic job helping with my essay writing. I am a very poor writer as an engineer and this team was able to polish my weak essays into something fantastic essays that got me into two M7 schools and waitlisted at another.

Initially I was going to apply to an MBA program next year, but after speaking with Scott in February, he convinced me I had a shot at getting during round 3. At this point, I had not even taken (or even started studying for) the Gmat, so I was definitely skeptical, however he and his team guided me every step of the way. He helped me put together 5 applications, study for and take Gmat, and write all my essays in the span of 2 months. Scott was tremendous. He was highly professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. He is not going to write your essays for you make no mistake. Instead, he will help you best tell the story that is true to you, making sure that the writing is consistent and concise. I found the process the most helpful in the interview stage. Again the answers are all your own, but I felt a ton of confidence going in that I would not have had if not for his help. Scott and his team at Personal MBA Coach were absolutely incredible to work with. As someone without a lot of connections with business school experience/aspirations, finding a consultant was an important step that I had decided on quite early in my application journey. After shopping around the different options for a bit, I chose to work with Scott and his team for a couple of different reasons: they provide extremely comprehensive support; I felt that Scott genuinely cared about my MBA journey, and they had a great track record for M7 programs.

Although it’s still early in application season, I’ve already been admitted to Columbia Business School ED, and I can say without a doubt that Scott and his team’s support has been instrumental in my success. From the start, they’ve been masterful in helping me craft my story, patient in my many essays and resume revisions, and honest in their recommendations from an admissions perspective. I considered working with an MBA consultant because 1) I didn’t feel very confident based on my non-business and frankly, not super impressive, background and 2) I didn’t start my MBA application or GMAT studying in earnest until July and was determined to apply round 1. I ended up getting into 4/4 MBA programs I applied to, with full funding at 3/4 of them (2 were top 10, 2 were top 20 programs). Working with MJ and her team was definitely an investment, but I consider it well worth it given the results and the peace of mind I had throughout the process.

As a medical doctor with an outsider view of the MBA landscape, Scott and his team helped push my application to the top level. To be honest, I didn’t speak with other consultants as I was sold on the deal after my first chat with Scott. He was sincere and genuine about my chances and where we needed to be as a team if I wanted a shot at the schools I was applying to. He was also readily available for phone calls and email chats within 48 hours when needed. With essay writing, the regular edits and push from the editors ensured that I introspected into why a sentence or paragraph belonged in my essay – that in turn, made me dig deeper into how I wanted to convey my story and journey as a medical doctor seeking an MBA. Secondly, my mock interviewers were the best, they helped me rework my answers to the behavioural questions to highlight the points I want conveyed.
