Why Choose Personal MBA Coach?
Unmatched Support and Customization
Your Personal MBA Coach tutor has one thing in mind: your success. Because the tutoring is boutique, just like the admissions consulting, tutors only work with a limited number of students each year.
The Best Tutors in the Industry
Personal MBA Coach GRE tutors and GMAT tutors have scored in the 99th+ percentile on the GMAT/GRE exams and are graduates of MIT, Harvard, UPenn, Yale, Columbia and more. Most tutors have 780+ and even perfect scores. Other larger firms will hire tutors with 750 as this is the 99th percentile.
Proven Strategies and Unrivaled Results
Using our in-house software with modules, sample questions and full-length practice tests, our tutors raise clients’ scores an average of 90 GMAT points and 11 GRE points.
Personal MBA Coach is proud to connect our clients with the best GMAT tutors in the industry. While knowing your basics can help get you through 80% of the test, you will need to know some more obscure rules for Quant and Verbal to score above a 700.
Your GMAT tutor will help you discover and build a strategy that includes these lesser-known rules. Plus, our GMAT tutors (and our GRE tutors) watch you work live, teaching you how to drive personal efficiency.
The official GMAT exam has four sections and takes just under 3.5 hours in total, including optional breaks. To best master the mental aspect of the test, we encourage clients to do as many full-length practice exams as possible to get used to the timing and structure.
- Scores are valid for 5 years.
- You can take the exam up to 5 times during a 12-month period.
- There is a lifetime max of 8 tests.
- You can take the test once every 16 calendar days.
- Scores can be canceled and the report does not go to the school if you are not happy with the result.
Along with the test center-based GMAT exam, candidates now have the option to take the GMAT online exam. This online exam can be taken up to two times and counts toward the yearly and lifetime limits for the GMAT, though verifiable technical issues will not be factored into this retake limit.
Admissions committee members give no preference to the test center-based exam or the GMAT online exam, leaving candidates free to choose whichever best suits their needs.
The GRE General Test is growing in popularity and average data is becoming easier to find. We have average GRE scores for most of the top schools.
With an adaptive curriculum, our GRE tutors (similar to our GMAT tutors) develop customized strategies to focus on the areas where you need help. Our GRE tutors teach practical concepts and tailored tips & tricks vs. hard to follow theories. Our GRE tutors conduct remote sessions with flexible scheduling, allowing us to accommodate your schedule.
- The GRE test includes six sections with a 10-minute break after the third section.
- Overall testing time is about three hours and 45 minutes. Often, those stronger in verbal tend to prefer this test, though our GRE tutors can help anyone master it!
- Test can be taken once every 21 days and up to 5 times within any 12-month period.
- GRE scores are valid for 5 years and there is currently no lifetime test limit for the GRE.
- You can cancel your score if you are unhappy with your result.
- The GRE at home test has the same content, format, and on-screen experience as the center-based exam. Your score report will not indicate that you took the test at home, and you are allowed the same retake policies.
Executive Assessment (EA) Tutoring
Personal MBA Coach has a dedicated Executive Assessment tutor and was one of the first companies to offer Executive Assessment test prep.
The Executive Assessment (EA) exam was designed for experienced professionals interested in pursuing advanced education and is most often used by those applying to Executive MBA programs, though some full-time and part-time programs are now also accepting the EA. The 90-minute exam was created to assess the skills and knowledge of experienced professionals and evaluate business school readiness.
At this time (more could join any time) MIT Sloan, Columbia Business School, NYU Stern, Duke Fuqua, and UVA Darden accept the EA for full-time applications. The EA is a shorter test so if you are pressed for time, it may be a good option to select our Executive Assessment test prep.
